May 2nd at Bar LUBITSCH in Hollywood, CA

It was a Thursday night at Bar LUBITSCH, which meant another installment of WFNM (We Found New Music) w/Grant Owens. Leading off the night was long-time What's In-Store Music client, (and one of our favorite indie acts), Leo Sawikin! It was a perfect opportunity for Leo to get on stage and work out his set before heading out on the road for a North American Tour supporting Jon McLaughlin. Starting off the show is never easy, but Leo handled it like a champ. Slowly but surely the crowd migrated from the back of the club toward the front, and the applause increased after each song until they were full-on cheering for him by the end. You don't see that every day. Keep an ear out, and Shazam handy for Leo Sawikin - New York, I'm Coming Home, as it plays overhead in retailers everywhere, and make sure to catch him on tour this summer.
