"I've found myself drawn to writing songs on what I call universal human truths. "We All Got Friends" is rooted in one of those truths - that life is full of ups and downs and that a side effect of all of us being in this wild human experience is that we're all connected in one way or another. In this "beautiful mess of a life" there's almost a butterfly effect to everything we do. Which is why "we've all got someone who's left a scar and we've all left someone with a broken heart." In a time where it feels like there is so much division, I wanted to write a song that centers around how similar we actually are, despite our varying perspectives. That song is "We All Got Friends".
