Happy Thanksgiving from
What's In-Store Music

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a time for families to come together from far and wide, sit around a table, and enjoy each other's company while giving thanks. What's In-Store Music would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge some folks we are thankful for, who helped make 2024 a success. A big thanks goes out to Steve Zanardi at Spectrio for his tireless energy, handling everything we bring to him, with calm and patience, even under the most stress-filled circumstances. Thank you to Shawn Cash, at Rockbot, who plays an integral role in helping us bring you the Walmart and Sam's Club Radio takeovers, the Planet Fitness program and a lot more. Thank you to Joel Denver for his friendship and guidance. You'll remember Joel as the founder and owner of All Access, the #1 Information Destination For Radio for 28 years, and the official home of The What's In-Store Music Charts. I'd like to thank Codi Quick, owner of Quick Business Resolutions, and Julia Loucks for keeping us on our toes and organized. To Raymond, Kristine, and Samual Relojo, we couldn't do this without you. To Brian Esquivel, thank you so much for posting our charts each week on All Access. We'd like to thank all the labels, management companies, and strategic partners for entrusting us with all your In-Store music marketing needs. I am forever grateful for your continued support. Thank you so much to the artists both new and returning for creating such wonderful music, enjoyed by millions of people every day across the country. Last, but not least, I'd like to thank my partner in business and in life, Monica Emerson, who continues to put up with me year after year.

We want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving from the bottom of our hearts.

Don't Believe In Ghosts
"Brooklyn Baby"

"'Brooklyn Baby' is for anyone who's ever taken a leap into the unknown or dreams of doing it. I was inspired to write this song by people I've known who left everything behind to move to New York City, chasing a dream with nothing but hope and determination. Working on this with my good friend and Grammy-winning producer Ken Lewis, who just won a Grammy for his work with Taylor Swift, was an incredible experience. Ken's background with artists like X Ambassadors and FUN helped us bring out the energy and emotion of the song, capturing that mix of excitement and uncertainty that comes with starting fresh. In his studio, we worked to create a sound that's both anthemic and intimate, using upbeat rhythms and lyrics that reflect the thrill of the journey. For me, 'Brooklyn Baby' isn't just about New York; it's an anthem for everyone who's brave enough to make that jump."
