"Let's Get Together"
"'Let’s Get Together' truly encapsulates the feelings of the holidays for me! We wait all year to get together with family and friends, share laughter and joy; all while enjoying the soundtrack of classic holiday tunes by Donny Hathaway, Mariah Carey, Dean Martin and so many other greats! I wanted to write a song that gave me that same soulful, joyous feeling. That’s how 'Let’s Get Together' came along.
Co-written with my dear friend, Shane Stevens (Grammy nominated songwriter for Walker Hayes, Lady Antebellum, Sara Evans and others), we dove into our souls to fill up on the holiday spirit. We wrote of love and togetherness, vehemently including the message that 'Everybody’s welcome' at our table.
The song came together in an hour! I, then, went on to produce it. Each and every musician who played on this record is a dear friend, and they all brought magic with every note. My goal was to listen to this record and smile, and I do on every listen. I’m so thrilled with how 'Let’s Get Together' came together. I hope you enjoy it and play it on repeat this holiday season!"
