Just because Memorial Day is behind us, don't think that Memorial Day sales are over for a second. There are still great deals to be had on existing merchandise. Folks are scrambling to get good deals before prices on so many items increase, and What's In-Store Music clients of all kinds are there to greet them. The right music can affect how people behave in restaurants and retail outlets. Slower, more relaxing music during the day can be heard in grocery stores and restaurants, creating a calm environment, allowing them to feel less rushed and more likely to stay longer. Clothing stores with more up-tempo music provide a sense of fun and playfulness. Not only does it keep the consumer in the store, but it is also more likely that they try things on and spend more. With this increase in consumer traffic and the desire for a good deal, now is the perfect time to submit your song to What's In-Store Music! If you're ready, you can do so right HERE.

"You've Seen Heaven"

"I wrote and recorded it as a tribute to my aunt. The song fell from the sky; I started with a few chords and a simple melody, and somehow, the lyrics started flowing as if she were guiding me," said “You’ve Seen Heaven” songwriter and co-producer, Karly. "While this song is deeply personal to me, I truly believe it’s for anyone grieving and missing someone who is no longer here. I hope it brings comfort and peace to anyone who needs it, no matter the time of year because there’s no season for missing someone."

at Weho Pride Weekend on Sunday, June 1st
Usually, our Out & About section is reserved for performances that have already happened. This week, we wanted to change it up and alert you to an upcoming show, instead. If you're in LA this Sunday, make your way over to West Hollywood, where they'll be kicking off Pride Month at the WEHO Pride Weekend Street Fair Performances! What's In-Store Music client, and Planet X recording artist, MkX will be performing. We've seen him before, and he puts on a really entertaining show. He is SO pumped to perform, so we're gonna let him give you the details.
"WEHO PRIDE!! I’m SO pumped to kick off Pride Month with a revamped show THIS SUNDAY at 5pm on the Celebration Stage (Santa Monica Blvd & N La Peer Dr). New songs, new costumes, new props, new backdrops. See you there!
