Feedback VS. Submissions

Hey Guys, we wanted to send out a little refresher. We've received a lot of submissions this spring from some terrific first-time clients with a lot of great music, only to discover later, that the artist was simply looking for feedback. Here's a little rule for sending to What's In-Store Music. If you'd like feedback to see if the song would fit in our system, you can always send those songs directly to me at scott@whatsin-storemusic.com. I'll be able to go over lyric content, (keep it clean), length, (try to keep it to 3:30 or less), and any edits you might need, to successfully get your song placed. The submission form is used when you're ready to go. That's where we collect everything to present in our weekly music meeting. Once the song has made it to the meeting, if it's accepted, the programmers take it with them and upload it into their system to begin populating stores. That's when the process begins. So remember, for feedback send your song to scott@whatsin-storemusic.com, to submit your song, you can do that right HERE.

"Admit It"

"I wanted to try something new and fresh sounding with my first single back. I fell in love with Afrobeat recently and just the fusion of instruments and sounds inspired me to merge my RnB world with the world of Afrobeat. Out of that came “Admit It”. It was fun getting back into full artist mode with the music video as well. I’m super excited and happy how well old fans and new fans were so receptive to it. That has let me know that everyone is ready for a new MH album. The album is turned in and I’ll be announcing its release date, along with tour dates and my very own documentary about my life: Music, Family, film, and future endeavors. Stay tuned, I’m back!"

UK's Virgin Breakfast Show on May 1, 2024

What's In-Store Music artist Train was on a recent UK run that included an electrifying, sold-out performance at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London on April 30th. And they didn't stop there! On May 1st, they swung by the Chris Evans Breakfast show on Virgin UK for a lively chat with the man himself. Pat and Chris have done numerous interviews over the years, and Chris is a big supporter of the band!

The magic of their Royal Albert Hall performance was captured for posterity! Keep your ears peeled, because later this summer, they'll release "Train Live At Royal Albert Hall" featuring their brand-new single, "Long Yellow Dress."

Catch Train live this summer, as they kick off The Summer Road Trip Tour with Reo Speedwagon on July 8th in Somerset, WI, hitting a whopping 45 cities across the US, and culminating in a finale on September 11th in Phoenix.

Have a great week,

Scott Emerson
