Out & About with almost monday
At The Echoplex on February 22, 2025 in Los Angeles, CA

It's official: I have a new favorite alternative band, and their name is almost monday. It's not like they're a brand-new band, and it's not like I don't already know many of their songs, but I had never seen them live before, and that was all it took. On Saturday, February 22nd, the band played The Echoplex in Silverlake, CA, and they were amazing! The guys walked onto the stage and took command of the room immediately. They opened the show with their #1 alternative radio hit "Can't Slow Down," and it took off from there! Highlights included "Jupiter", "I Only Want To Dance With You", and "Sun Keeps Shining." The energy was great, their harmonies were spot on, and they engaged the crowd at every turn. It was the closest thing to a perfect set I've seen in a long time. The LA show was the final night of the US leg of their DIVE tour. Now, it's off to Europe and the UK to wow audiences there. Thank you to Michele Alexander and the folks at Hollywood Records for an amazing night from start to finish.
Have a great week,
Scott Emerson
