July 1st, 2026
Summertime is loaded with sales, Memorial Day, end-of-school, back-to-school, and Labor Day, just to name a few. Each one brings shoppers out in droves. The next one up is the Fourth of July. Retailers are already filling their windows with red, white, and blue displays, promoting everything from cars and appliances to clothing and home goods. It won't be long before stores are packed with customers looking for holiday bargains.
That means more shoppers, more foot traffic, and more opportunities for your music to be heard.
If you have a new song you'd like playing overhead when this influx of shoppers heads into the stores, you'll want to submit it with What's In-Store Music soon! If you have something you're ready to submit now, you can do it right here.

kenzie
"sophie"
“sophie” is one of kenzie’s most personal songs to date. Written about her real-life best friend, Sophie, the track is a heartfelt tribute to the person who became family during a time when kenzie felt she lacked close female friendships growing up in Los Angeles. Rather than focusing on romance, the song celebrates the kind of unconditional friendship that carries you through every season of life—the person you call first, whether you're celebrating your biggest moments or facing your hardest ones. It's a reminder that sometimes our greatest love stories are the friendships that shape who we become.

We’re excited to spotlight What’s In-Store Music artist Temper City following a milestone moment, their very first live show at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles. Sharing their excitement afterward, the band said, “we cannot believe we played our first ever show… we’ll never forget this moment.”
There’s nothing like the energy of an artist’s first show, and we’re excited to celebrate this special moment with Temper City as they continue building what’s next.
