Out & About with Scott Emerson
Duxbury, MA 12/20/25

When I head back east for Christmas, I have one job, and that's to keep my 96-year-old mother entertained. In the morning, it's easy, while I work on holiday music for What's In-Store, she sits and drinks her coffee, occasionally shooing away the squirrels from her birdfeeder. In the afternoon, I get her out for a drive around town, which always includes a trip to the Powder Point Bridge and our annual beach selfie. Before we know, it's time for happy hour and an early dinner. We finish off the day with a few episodes of Family Feud and the evening news, and then we get up the next day and do it all over again. It may not seem like the most exciting holiday, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
Have a great week,
Scott Emerson
