"Sun & Moon"

"My song "sun & moon" is about an ex-partner or someone in your life that you care deeply about choosing to be with someone who is just like you but isn't you.
I wrote this song with the goal to come across as confident in myself but also an accurate storyteller. Instead of writing as someone who is heartbroken and depressed, I wanted to come off as confused that anyone could ever pick another person over me. because deep down I knew what I brought the relationship was real and meaningful.
We wrote "sun & moon" at a writing camp in Los Angeles and it really started to unfold when I brought it to Jeffery David (Echosmith, Zedd, Goo Goo Dolls) and Brandon Paddock (Avril Lavigne, Boys Like Girls). That is when the song came alive for me. They understood the emotional space behind it and helped me shape the story so it felt true to my voice."
