Let The Sales Begin

It's not just awards season for the entertainment industry, February marks the beginning of SALES season. First up, President's Day! What better way to celebrate America's Presidents, than with a good old fashion mattress sale? Or Car, or clothing, or whatever! No retailer is exempt from putting a SALE sign in the window to attract shoppers, already looking for a good deal. As consumers enter the stores, What's In-Store Music artists will greet them, serenading them from above as they shop. Sales always increase consumer traffic, making it an excellent time for potential fans to discover new songs while shopping. If you have something you'd like to have to play overhead in time for President's Day, submit it here with What's In-Store Music today!

"King of Everything"

"'King of Everything' means the world to me. The past 7 years of my life in 3 minutes and 43 seconds. This song and video to me is the essence of what a lot of being human feels like and is my definition of self-reflection.

The entire song is about constantly competing with yourself in everything you do, to a level that could become unhealthy.

I hope the video makes you see things from a side you wouldn't have before. I hope you get something from it. I hope it means something to you like it does to me."

Out & About with STYX

At The Venetian Theatre on January 31st, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV

It was a night for the ages, or at least a night for those of a certain age. If you were a teenager in 1977, you were among the first to experience the watershed masterpiece that was STYX - The Grand Illusion. We would play that thing over and over again, memorizing every word to every song. Ask any one from that era and they'll likely list it among their all-time favorite albums. That's why when the band announced they'd be playing The Grand Illusion in its entirety plus their greatest hits live at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, the arrangements were immediately booked. It was the trip down memory lane you imagined it would be, enhanced by a visual of side one of the A&M record being placed on the turntable, as the band launched into the title track, then appropriately getting flipped over to begin side two. Once they'd finished performing the piece, it was off to the races with their greatest hits, "Rockin' The Paradise", "Too Much Time On My Hands", "Lady", and more, one right after another, keeping the crowd on their feet, singing and clapping the entire time. If you are a fan of this band, there's not time like the present to see them, and lucky for you, they've announced new shows!

Have a great week,

Scott Emerson
