"I'm Coming Home"

"This new album of mine 'One Day Home' is an amalgam of several genres of music by which I'm most inspired. One of these genres is soul music - specifically from the era of Sam Cooke, Bill Withers, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin and many more of their peers. I tried to bring that kind of songwriting into a few tunes on this album, blending an Americana, acoustic vibe with Soul. 'I'm Coming Home' is one of these songs. I hope you dig listening to it as much as I enjoyed writing and recording it."

Thursday night, February 6th, was a special evening for Abner and Amanda Ramirez, the husband-and-wife duo, known as Johnnyswim. It was release night for their highly anticipated new album, "When The War Is Over," and they celebrated it in style. The two were invited to the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles for a night of great conversation with Mikael Wood of the LA Times, a question-and-answer session with the audience, and an intimate performance of several selections from the album, including Dopamine, I'm Alright, and the title track, "When The War is Over" with band member Jonathan Berlin. The evening was part of a whirlwind rollout for the new album, including an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and their Grand Ole Opry debut! Keep an ear out for "I'm Alright", as it begins to play overhead in retailers in the coming weeks, and stream Johnnyswim "When The War Is Over" on your favorite music platform today!
