March BOGO Deal Is Back.

March is quickly approaching and with it, one of What's In-Store Music's most popular programs. The What's In-Store Music March BOGO Deal. What makes this one of our most popular programs you ask? Every day during the month of march submit one song with What's In-Store Music for the regular project rate and reserve a second song to be released later for 50% off. The Bogo Deal is the perfect way to save money on spring and summer releases. Full details, rules, and restrictions will be outlined in an upcoming newsletter and flyer. We look forward to hearing all of the new, wonderful music you have coming. In the meantime if you have something to submit now, you can do it right HERE.

"Priscilla"

"I wrote this song with my best friend after showing him my favorite movie, of which the song was aptly named after, Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla. I can be so annoying about lyrics and storytelling so essentially retelling our own spin on Priscilla’s story as a song was truly a writing exercise. We went back and forth on a ton of miniscule choices but our original intent always stayed intact- we wanted to merely be a narrator seeing over the Priscilla story. Intimate yet eerie and ethereal. So much so that the guitar part is all one single take, the wurli solo is the only take I recorded, and I did all of the vocals immediately after crying my eyes out 30 minutes earlier. A song my best friend and I thought would be shelved forever wound up becoming one of everyone’s favorites."

Out & About with Becoming Led Zeppelin (Early Screening)
At The IMAX Theater on February 6th, 2025 in Woodland Hills, CA

So much more than just a documentary, Becoming Led Zepplin is a rock n roll history lesson presented in IMAX, the ultimate visual and audio experience.
Released to the public on February 7th, Croshal Entertainment Group owner and lifelong Zepplin fan, Fred Croshal was able to secure tickets to a screening the night before and was nice enough invite me along.
It was a treat to watch Jimmy Paige, John Paul Jones and Robert Plant recount the early days, along with rare audio interviews from John "Bonzo" Bonham. The film was filled with early footage of the guys as kids playing music and following their individual journeys, eventually leading them this magical musical partnership. As the movie progressed, you saw the band come into their own, starting out playing for crowds who weren't quite sure what they were witnessing, to becoming a worldwide phenomenon.
The movie was filled with oh wow moments through-out. For example, did you know Jimmy Paige and John Paul Jones were session musicians who played on the 1964 Hit and James Bond theme song by Shirley Bassey, Goldfinger? Or the 1967 smash hit from Lulu and theme to the movie To Sir With Love? I sure didn't.. Naturally, the film was tied together with all the iconic music that made Led Zepplin one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time. Run, don't walk to the nearest IMAX theatre playing this fantastic film. You'll be glad you did.
Have a great week,
Scott Emerson
