Who's Ready For An Easter Sale?
Retailers never miss the opportunity to have a holiday sale. The next big one on the calendar is this weekend with Easter. There will be Church services, colored eggs, and chocolate bunnies everywhere, but also sales, sales, and more sales. Folks will be filling up stores, restaurants, and malls, cashing in on all the great deals. This will also be the beginning of Easter vacation for many schools. Families will be out enjoying themselves with music playing overhead everywhere they go. If you want to ensure your priority music plays overhead while this increased exposure opportunity presents itself, now is the time to get it into What's In-Store Music. Return the submission form, and we will take care of the rest.

Out Of The Office
The What’s In-Store Music office will be closed starting April 1st for our annual getaway (also known as my wife’s birthday trip ).
We’ll be back in the office on Thursday, April 9th, and will respond to any messages as soon as possible upon our return.

"leaving is easy"
almost monday
“leaving is easy” marks a defining moment for almost monday. Written early last year with Chase Lawrence (COIN) the song was initially set aside - unfinished, unresolved. In the wake of a deeply personal loss for the band at the end of the year, they returned to it during their grieving and healing process. Now complete, “leaving is easy” captures the tension between holding on and letting go – the quiet devastation of loss paired with the determination to keep going. It’s a song that now carries more weight than music for the band.

Out & About
In Woodland Hills
3/28/26 Woodland Hills California
This week's Out & About isn't about taking sides or making a political statement; it's simply a celebration of a long-standing tradition: music and protest going hand in hand.
Throughout the decades, when people gather to make their voices heard, music has always been close by, bringing energy, unity, and emotion to the moment.
Last weekend was no exception. Major artists like Bruce Springsteen, Joan Baez, and Maggie Rogers took the stage at NO KINGS rallies across the country, while in smaller cities and towns, something just as powerful was happening.
In places like Woodland Hills, local musicians of all ages showed up, instruments in hand, and simply started playing. No big production, just people expressing themselves through song. And the result? A shared experience that brought people together, and sounded pretty great, too.

Have a great week,
Scott Emerson
